Fatal Collision

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 34 year old Marvin Robinson of Warwick. Mr. Robinson died after he lost control of the 600cc motorcycle he was riding and collided with a fence while taking part in a practice lap at Southside Raceway around 11am on Sunday. He was rushed to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of suspected internal injuries but was pronounced dead several hours later. Inquiries into this incident are being conducted by PC Sean Mullan of the Traffic Enforcement Unit. The Bermuda Police Service extends its sincere condolences to the family & friends of the deceased.

Theft

At 2:50pm on Friday, Police attended a reported theft from a My Lords Bay Road, Hamilton parish property. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime on Wednesday or Thursday, an unknown culprit gained entry into a freezer on the premises and stole a quantity of seafood. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Police are urging the public not to purchase any seafood unless it is bought from a reputable business or individual. The shrimps (in boxes with the product code 521983 BLWTR), scallops (in boxes with the product code 532115 HBANK) and Tilapia fish (in boxes with the product code 573011 P. L.) stolen in the above theft were spoiled as a result of a problem with the freezer and therefore may pose a health hazard if consumed. Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 4 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 10 reported burglaries (4 in Hamilton parish, 4 in Pembroke, 1 in Warwick and 1 in Sandys parish). There were also 26 reported damage only road traffic collisions and 10 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury.
