Theft

At 6:30pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported theft from a Front Street, City of Hamilton business. On arrival officers spoke with a salesperson at the jewelry store who stated that around 5:30pm two men entered the store and attempted to purchase several items of jewelry with a credit card. The salesperson then asked the men for identification to complete the transaction, which the men could not produce. At that time the salesperson noticed that a gold chain with a crucifix pendant containing fake diamonds was missing from the items of jewelry the men were attempting to purchase and that both men had left the store. The salesperson chased after one of the suspects, but he was able to make good his escape on Court Street in Pembroke. The first suspect is described as a dark skinned male, 5 tall of medium build wearing a bandana, white long sleeved T-shirt and blue jeans with white stripes on the rear pocket. He also has braided hair and a tattoo on the right side of his neck. The second suspect is described as a light brown skinned male, 6 tall of slim build wearing a dark coloured plaid shirt and a gold chain. He has reddish hair with two puffs on the side and narrow facial features. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Burglary

Around 7:20pm on Tuesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Kilderry Drive, Smiths parish residence. The complainant stated that sometime earlier in the day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a Compaq laptop computer, a Canon PowerShot digital camera, an I-Pod, a Movado watch as well as several video games and an X-Box 360 controller. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 5:20pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Keith Hall Road, Warwick residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime earlier in the day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 1:40pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Barnes Valley, Paget residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 4pm on Saturday and 10:30am on Tuesday, an unknown culprit gained entry into his garage. The culprit stole two Pinnacle Marine fishing rods, two Shimano Triton reels and a beige tackle box. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
