Robbery

Around 4:45pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported robbery at a Front Street, City of Hamilton business. On arrival officers spoke with the victim and manager of the store, a 44 year old Pembroke woman, who stated that sometime between 4pm and 4:30pm that day, an unknown man entered the gift shop. She saw the man reach into a drawer where loose change is kept and confronted him. As the Pembroke woman approached the suspect, he raised his foot to kick at her. The suspect then ran out of the store, followed by the manager. As she chased after the suspect, he attempted to kick her again before making good his escape in the Walker Arcade area. The store manager was not injured; however, the suspect escaped with a quantity of cash. The suspect is described as a brown skinned male, approximately 5 9 tall of slim build wearing a dark coloured jacket and pants, dark sunglasses and a red hat. He is believed to be between 35 and 40 years old. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Burglary

At 7:25pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Third Avenue, Warwick residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 8:30am and 7:05pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a 41" flat screen plasma TV. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 1:20pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Rec-View Hill, Devonshire residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 8:30am and 12:20pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of cash and jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
