Assault

Around 2:40 this morning, Police received a report of an apparent assault on Glebe Road in Pembroke. Details about the incident are unclear at the moment; however the victim, a 26 year old Sandys parish man, sustained three lacerations to his head. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of his injuries and is currently in the Intensive Care Unit. Officers attempted to find out what happened from members of the public in the area but they were uncooperative and would not divulge any information to Police. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Burglary

At 9:15pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Tanglewood Road, Paget residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 7pm on Saturday and 9pm on Sunday, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home. The culprit stole a quantity of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 9:20am on Sunday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Paget guest property. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant, who is a visitor to the island. She stated that sometime between 12:30am and 4:30am that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her room. The culprit stole a quantity of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 2 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 10 reported burglaries (1 in Hamilton parish, 2 in Devonshire, 2 in Pembroke, 4 in Paget and 1 in Southampton). There were also 12 reported damage only road traffic collisions and 7 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury.
