Robbery

Around 8:45pm on Friday, Police attended a reported robbery in the My Lords Bay Lane/Radnor Estate Road area of Hamilton parish. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 14 year old young man from Hamilton parish, who stated that around 8:20pm he was sitting on a wall in the area when an unknown young man came up to him and started a conversation about his cell phone. A struggle then took place between the suspect and the victim, with the suspect taking the Hamilton parish youths cell phone and gold chain with cross pendant before making good his escape on foot, despite the victim giving chase. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 58” tall of medium build wearing a grey hooded jacket and dark coloured pants. He is believed to be between 15 and 17 years old, with two marks in each eyebrow. The victim sustained minor abrasions to his right arm and left leg and was taken to KEMH for treatment. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Southside Police Station on 293-2222.

  • Court Street between Ewing Street and Angle Street (outside Alaska Hall for viewing) between 5:30pm and 9pm.

Tuesday, 5th June, 2007

  • Court Street between Ewing Street and Angle Street (outside Alaska Hall for viewing) between 11am and 12:15pm.
  • Union Street between 11:30am and 12 noon until after the Bermuda Regiment Band and Corps of Drums has departed for Alaska Hall.
  • Church Street between Burnaby Street and Court Street between 12 noon and 4pm. Traffic on the procession route will be stopped to allow free passage.
  • Church Street between Par-La-Ville Road and Burnaby Street between 2:30pm and 4pm.

Missing Juvenile – Found

The Bermuda Police Service would like to thank the public for their assistance in locating 17 year old Ericka Simmons of Sandys parish. She was found safe and well today and reunited with her family.
