Robbery

Around 11:15pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported robbery on West Park Lane in Pembroke. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 24 year old Devonshire man, who is an employee of Four Star Pizza. The Devonshire man stated that he was returning to the City of Hamilton after attempting to make a delivery at a West Park Lane residence when he was pushed off his motorcycle by an unknown man. The suspect then brandished a knife and took 3 pizzas, two sodas and a quantity of cash from the victim before making good his escape on foot. The Devonshire man was not injured. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 5 5 tall wearing a black hooded shirt. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.

Assault

At 1:15pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported assaulted on St. Annes Road in Southampton. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 48 year old Southampton man, who stated that earlier he was sitting on an embankment in the area when 3 men rode up on two motorcycles and attacked him with a bladed article and blunt objects. The suspects then made good their escape. The victim sustained lacerations to the head and legs as well as a suspected fractured left arm and collar bone. The Southampton man was taken to KEMH for treatment of his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening. The suspects are known to the victim. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

At 6:20pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a North Shore Road, Hamilton parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who stated that sometime between 8:45am and 6pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole an HP laptop computer, a Casio digital camera, an I-Pod Nano and a pair of black ladies DKNY sunglasses. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 10am on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Paget guest property. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who are visitors to the island. They stated that sometime between 6:30pm and 8:30pm on Tuesday, an unknown culprit gained entry into their room while it was unoccupied and stole a cellular phone, a blue I-Pod, a quantity of cash and personal items. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
