Robbery

At 2:45pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported robbery on Tommy Fox Road in St. Georges near the junction with St. Davids Road. It appears that the victim, a Four Star pizza delivery man, was in the area attempting to make a delivery when he was approached by two unknown men. The men brandished knives and stole a quantity of cash and pizza from the victim before making good their escape. The pizza delivery man was not injured. The suspects are described as two black males wearing white t-shirts and long blue pants; one of the men is approximately 55” tall, around 18 years old, clean shaven with bushy hair while the other is approximately 59” tall, around 19 years old, clean shaven with plaited hair. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident to contact the Southside Police Station on 293-2222.

Sudden Death

Around 8:30pm on Sunday, Police attended a report of an unresponsive man at a Glebe Road , Pembroke residence. On arrival officers observed the victim, a 58 year old Pembroke man, lying on the bathroom floor in an unresponsive state. Paramedics were at the scene and rendered first aid before taking the Pembroke man to KEMH via ambulance. However, he was subsequently pronounced dead by an on call physician. There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances. No further information will be released until the next of kin have been notified.

Around 7:40pm on Sunday, Police attended a report of an unresponsive man at the Long Bay beach area of Sandy s parish. On arrival officers observed the victim, a 59 year old Sandy s parish man, lying on the grass under a tree in an unresponsive state. Paramedics arrived on scene a short time later and gave the victim CPR before taking him to KEMH via ambulance. However, the Sandy s parish man was subsequently pronounced dead by an on call physician. There do not appear to be any suspicious circumstances. No further information will be released until the next of kin have been notified.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 5 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 4 reported burglaries (1 in Paget, 2 in Warwick and 1 in Southampton ). There were also 21 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 3 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 12 vehicles reported taken without their owners consent.
