Burglary

Police responded to a report of a burglary that took place yesterday at Garthowen Road in Devonshire. On arrival Police spoke to the complainants who stated that around 1pm they locked and secured their residence before leaving, only to return at 5:30pm to notice that someone had gained entry into their dwelling. The thieves broke in and helped themselves to a 52 inch Panasonic Plasma TV, which was fixed to the wall, 5 Pen fishing rods and an orange Yamaha V50 auxiliary cycle license #035 AK.

Police, after canvassing the area, spoke to a witness who saw a male believed to be of Portuguese decent carrying a super sized TV on his silver/gray scooter and another male described as being a black male of a dark complexion, following behind riding an orange coloured Yamaha V50 auxiliary cycle. The Portuguese man is described as about 59" tall, weighing 180 pounds, of slim build wearing blue long jeans, a white tee shirt and a white helmet. Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 16 stolen vehicles, one person arrested for driving whilst impaired, 10 burglaries and 32 road traffic collisions with 10 resulting in injury.
