Industrial Accident

At 4:25pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported industrial accident at a Highwood Lane, Paget residence. On arrival officers observed the victim, a 49 year old Sandys parish man, being carried on a stretcher by paramedics. The victim was part of a group of workmen replacing windows at the home. It appears that the Sandy s parish man was removing a window at the rear of the residence while standing on staging when he lost his balance and fell to the ground. The victim complained of pain to his left side and lower back and was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of his injuries. He is currently in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit. The Government Health & Safety Officer is aware of this incident.

Burglary

At 4pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported burglary at a North Shore Road, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who stated that sometime between 8:45am and 3:45pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into their apartment while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
