Around 11:30 this morning, Police received a report of a serious road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Church Road, involving a truck and a car. It appears that the truck was traveling east on Middle Road and the grey Volkswagen car was traveling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided. It appears the driver of the car, a 53 year old Sandys parish man sustained superficial injuries, while the cars front seat passenger, a 48 year old Sandys parish man, sustained serious facial injuries. The driver of the truck, a 51 year old Warwick man, was not injured. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision or anyone with any information to contact PC Rajiv Bailey on 234-1010 or on the main Police number, 295-0011.

Between 7am on Wednesday and 7am on Thursday, there were three vehicles reported taken without their owners consent; one silver Peugeot 306 station wagon license # 08449 from Hermitage Road, Devonshire, one grey Daelim 125cc motorcycle license # BJ 391 from Wesley Street, Pembroke and one black Yamaha Nouvo motorcycle license # BE 915 from West Crescent, Warwick. Inquiries into these incidents are underway.
