Damage Only RTC

At 7:30 this morning, Police received a report of a single vehicle damage only road traffic collision in the area of Harbour Road and Burnt House Hill in Warwick. It appears the car was traveling west on Harbour Road approaching Burnt House Hill when the driver, a 31 year old Smiths parish man, lost control and collided with a wall, causing the vehicle to overturn. The car received moderate front end damage; however, the Smiths parish man was not injured. Both the eastbound and westbound lanes were blocked as a result and traffic was diverted away from the area. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Robbery

Around 3:45pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported robbery on Seawall Drive in Sandys parish. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 28 year old pizza delivery man. He stated that around 3:15pm that day he was making a delivery to a residence on Seawall Drive. However, when he arrived in the area he was approached by 5 unknown men. One of the men punched him in the head, while the others pushed him to the ground. The assailants demanded money and the 28 year old complied, handing them a quantity of cash. The suspects then removed 5 pizzas from the basket of the pizza delivery mans motorcycle before making good their escape. One of the suspects is described as a dark skinned male, approximately 56” tall, wearing a black T-shirt and black sports shoes. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Somerset Criminal Investigation Unit on 234-1010.
