Fatal RTC

Police can now confirm the death of33 year old Toby Colombewho died as a result of a single vehicle road traffic collision on South Road in Smiths parish near the junction with McGalls Hill Court at 3:30am on Sunday morning. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling east on South Rod when the rider, a 33 year old Smiths parish man lost control of his vehicle, collided with a wall and ended up over an embankment. The Smiths parish man was rushed to KEMH, however he was pronounced dead at 4:10 am by a physician at the hospital. Inquires into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision or anyone with any information (particularly anyone who may have seen Mr. Colombe from Saturday evening from around 10pm until around the time of his untimely death) please contact PC Alson Thomas at Southside Police Station on 293-2222 or on the main Police number, 295-0011. Over the weekend there were 2 stolen cycles, 2 persons arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence, 11 reports of breaking and entering, 17 damage only collisions and 10 collisions that resulted in injury.
