Sudden Death

The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 44 year old Bryant Tucker who succumbed to his injuries Saturday at 4pm. This is as a result of a medical emergency that took place at Darrells Island Wednesday morning at 8:20am. It appears that Bryant Tucker was found in a non-responsive state after collapsing on the island. This resulted in the 44 year old man being taken via Police boat to Barrs Bay Park where he was conveyed via ambulance to KEMH. He remained in ICU in critical condition until his death on Saturday. The Bermuda Police Service extends its sincere condolences to the family & friends of the deceased.

Injury RTC

Police responded to a report of a collision that took place at 5:55pm on Saturday at the junction of Harrington Sound Road and Wilkinson Avenue in Hamilton parish. It appears that a car was traveling west on Wilkinson Avenue when it collided with a car traveling east at the junction of Harrington Sound Road. This resulted in the offending vehicle going over an embankment and landing just feet from the water. The driver, a 47 year old Warwick man, walked away unhurt however the passenger, a 69 year old St. Georges man, was extricated out of the vehicle by the Bermuda Fire Service. He was then taken to KEMH where he is currently being treated for chest and back injuries. The driver was arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. The driver of the other vehicle, a 34 year old Warwick woman, was taken to the hospital for treatment of minor neck and back injuries and released.
