Burglary

Police responded to a report of a breaking and entering that took place yesterday at Sommersall Road in Smiths parish. The complainants stated that they left their home secure around 8am yesterday, only to return at 3pm to notice that someone broke into their dwelling. Stolen was a BlackBerry Pearl and an undisclosed amount of cash & jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
Industrial Accident
Meantime at 9:02 this morning, Police responded to a report of an industrial accident that took place at the Tuckers Point Property in St. Georges. It appears that a workman was installing sections of a steel staircase when it appears the staircase gave way and the worker fell approximately 10 feet, landing on his back. He was taken to KEMH where he is being treated for what is considered non-life threatening injuries.
