Burglary

Around 5:20 this morning, Police received a report of a burglary at a Forest Hill Drive, Warwick residence. The complainant stated that sometime earlier he was awoken by noises inside his hone. When he went to investigate, he discovered that an unknown culprit had gained entry. The complainant confronted the culprit, who was able to make good his escape with a quantity of cash and a ladys wallet containing coins and personal items. The suspect is described as a light skinned male, approximately 510” tall of average build with straight low cut hair. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 5:05 this morning, Police received a report of a burglary at a Glenwood Park Crescent, Warwick residence. The complainant stated that sometime earlier she was awoken by noises inside her hone. When she went to investigate, she discovered that an unknown culprit had gained entry. The complainant confronted the culprit, who was able to make good his escape. It appears that nothing was taken from the home. The suspect is described as a light skinned male, approximately 6 tall wearing a black & grey striped shirt and dark coloured pants. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Update - Firearm Incident

The Bermuda Police Service is continuing to appeal for witnesses or anyone with any information about the shooting that took place around 12:20am Tuesday, December 25th to contact Police on 299-4323 or to call the confidential 24 hour Crime Stoppers Hotline on 1-800-623-8477. The victim, a 24 year old Pembroke man, remains in stable condition in KEMH.

High visibility Police patrols are currently being carried out in various areas throughout the island, to discourage any additional criminal acts of violent behaviour. A press conference regarding this incident is anticipated shortly.
