Injury RTC

At 3:50pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Southampton near Barnes Corner involving a car and a truck. It appears that both vehicles were traveling in opposite directions on Middle Road when the car attempted to overtake another vehicle and collided with the truck. The driver of the car, a 34 year old Southampton man, was not injured but his female passenger was injured. She was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of her injuries. The driver of the truck, a 22 year old Smiths parish woman, was not injured. The car received extensive front end damage while the truck received moderate front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

At 6:40pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Rocky Lane, Hamilton parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who stated that sometime between 8:30am and 5:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 4:10pm on Thursday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Crisson Avenue, Pembroke residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 7:30am and 4pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a white jacket with a blue stripe on the front and a quantity of jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
