Sudden Death

At 7pm on Sunday, Police received a report of a sudden death. It appears that the victim, a 28 year old St. George's man, was involved in a basketball game at Mount St. Agnes Academy around 6:15pm that day when he collapsed. He was rushed to KEMH via ambulance where he was subsequently pronounced dead at 6:40pm by an on call physician. An autopsy is anticipated; however, it appears that a pre-existing medical condition may have played a role in the St. George's man's death. No further information will be released until the next of kin has been notified.

Burglary

At 5:30pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Valley Road, Paget residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 1pm on Friday March 6 and 10am on Saturday, March 7, 2007 an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of jewelry and DVDs. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 3 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 8 reported burglaries. There were also 16 reported damage only road traffic collisions and 6 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury.
