Robbery

Around 11:45pm on Monday, Police attended a reported robbery on Cherry Dale Road in Smiths parish. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 31 year old Smiths parish woman, who stated that around 11:30pm she was traveling east on South Road in Smiths parish on her auxiliary cycle when she noticed two unknown men on a motorcycle following her. The Smiths parish woman was then accosted by the suspects on Cherry Dale Road where one of the men demanded money brandishing a bladed article. The 31 year old woman denied having any money. The suspect then took a bank card from the victims bag before both men made good their escape on their motorcycle traveling down Knapton Hill towards South Road . The victim was not injured. The suspects are described as two young black males, approximately 54” tall wearing dark coloured helmets with visors riding a black motorcycle with thin wheels. One of the suspects also wore a multi-coloured bandana. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the St. Georges Criminal Investigation Unit on 293-2222.

Burglary

Around 5:40pm on Monday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Dunscombe Road, Warwick residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 1:40pm and 4:45pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a Toshiba laptop computer, an Apple laptop computer, 3 Apple I-Pods, a Sony CD player and an external computer hard drive. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
