Sudden Death

Around 10:45pm on Saturday, Police attended a reported sudden death at a Deepdale Road East, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers observed the victim, 62 year old David Walker of Pembroke (a U. K. national), lying in an unresponsive state inside the premises. He was subsequently pronounced dead by an on call physician at the scene. Following initial inquiries no foul play is suspected; however, an autopsy is anticipated. The Bermuda Police Service extends its sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

Robbery

Around 2:30pm on Friday, Police attended a reported robbery at the Bulls Head car park in Pembroke. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 59 year old Hamilton parish man, who stated that he was sitting inside his car which was parked on the third floor of the Bulls Head car park, when he was assaulted by two unknown men who demanded money. The Hamilton parish man handed the assailants a quantity of cash and personal items and the suspects then made good their escape. The victim sustained a laceration to the right side of his head. Both suspects are described as wearing dark coloured hooded tops. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
