On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 21 year old Hamilton parish man, who sustained facial injuries in the assault. However he refused to co-operate with Police; refused offers of medical attention and refused to make a formal complaint. The suspect, a 23 year old Pembroke man, had already made good his escape prior to Police arrival. However, he later returned to the Front Street area and was arrested after a struggle with officers.
