Advisory

The Bermuda Police Service is continuing to remind the public to lock their homes securely before leaving them unattended for any length of time, as we are still receiving reports of homes being burglarized after they were left insecure. Police are encouraging residents to secure all windows and doors before leaving their property unoccupied, which will reduce their chances of being a victim of this type of crime.

The Bermuda Police Service would also like to advise the public, especially senior citizens, to be wary of individuals who may come to your home looking to do work around the premises. We encourage all residents to ask these individuals for identification and if still unsure, to contact the company the individual(s) claim to work for. If senior citizens are unsure about the intent of anyone approaching them for work, they are encouraged to contact Age Concern for a list of approved individuals who carry out household repairs.
