At 2:15 this morning, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Devonshire, between Tee Street and Spur Lane. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling east on Middle Road when the rider, a 33 year old Smiths parish man lost control attempting to negotiate a left hand bend, crossed over into the westbound lane and collided with a wall. The Smiths parish man sustained chest and facial injuries and was taken via ambulance to the Intensive Care Unit of KEMH for treatment; however, his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. The motorcycle was extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
