Injury RTC

Around 11:30pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Mullet Bay Road in St. Georges near the junction with Stokes Point Road, involving a truck and an auxiliary cycle. It appears that the truck was traveling east on Mullet Bay Road and the cycle was traveling in the opposite direction when the vehicles collided. The rider of the cycle, an 18 year old Pembroke man, sustained abrasions to his head and right knee and bruising to his right foot. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment; however, his injuries are not considered life threatening. The cycle received extensive front end damage. The driver of the truck, a 46 year old St. Georges man, was not injured. The truck received a broken windshield and moderate front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact PC Dawnett Walker or the Roads Policing Unit on 295-0011.

Burglary

Around 2:50pm on Sunday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Highwood Lane, Paget residence. The complainant stated that an unknown culprit had gained entry into her home and stolen a quantity of jewelry, cash and personal items. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 3:35am on Sunday, Police attended a reported burglary at a White Crest Hill, Hamilton parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that around 3am he was awoken by noises in the dining room. When he went to investigate, he saw an unknown man inside his home. The complainant confronted the suspect who made good his escape on foot with a quantity of cash despite being chased by the complainant. The suspect then fled the area on a motorcycle. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 2:25am on Sunday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Mission Crescent, Paget residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 9:45pm on Saturday and 2am Sunday, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home. The culprit stole a laptop computer. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 3 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 9 reported burglaries. There were also 18 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 10 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 4 vehicles reported taken without their owners consent.
