Loud Music/Missiles Thrown At Police

At 2:15am on Saturday, Police attended a report of loud music at a Mount Zion Lane, Southampton residence. On arrival officers observed a group of approximately 20 individuals gathered at the home, apparently for a birthday party. The officers asked for the music to be turned down and their request was complied with. The officers then left the property. However a short time later, Police returned to the same residence again to deal with another loud music complaint. As the officers left the area a second time, rocks & bottles were thrown at the Police vehicle. The officers called for assistance and additional Police units arrived at the scene. As a result, several young men were arrested on suspicion of throwing missiles and for outstanding warrants. No officers were injured and it does not appear that any Police vehicles were damaged by the projectiles. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

Around 2:30pm on Saturday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Middle Road, Devonshire residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who stated that sometime between 11:45am and 2pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole an X-Box video game system, a quantity of cash and personal items. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 9am on Saturday, Police attended a reported burglary at The Country Squire in Sandys parish. On arrival officers spoke with the owner of the premises who stated that sometime between 11:45pm on Friday and 8:15am on Saturday, an unknown culprit or culprits gained entry into the outdoor bar. The culprit(s) removed a quantity of alcohol and cigarettes. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 8:15am on Friday, Police received a report of a burglary at the Horseshoe Bay Café in Southampton. The owner of the premises stated that sometime between 4pm on Thursday and 7:45am on Friday, an unknown culprit gained entry into the premises and stole 3 cases of soda. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
