Around 11:35pm on Saturday, Police attended a single vehicle road traffic collision on Spanish Point Road in Pembroke near the junction with St. Johns Hill. It appears that a car was traveling west on Spanish Point Road when the driver lost control and collided with a utility pole. The driver of the car then left the scene. The car received damage to multiple areas. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision or anyone with any information to contact PC Delworth Smith on 295-0011.
Injury RTC/Impaired Driving
Around 4:10am on Saturday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Harbour Road in Paget, near the junction with Chapel Road. It appears that a car was traveling west on Harbour Road when the driver, a 37 year old Paget man, lost control and collided with a wall. The Paget man sustained a minor head injury; however he refused medical attention and was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The 37 year old Paget man was then detained after failing the alco-analyser test. The car received front and rear end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
