Burglary

At 6:10pm on Monday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Channel View Lane, Hamilton parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 10:30am and 4:50pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a black Toshiba DVD/CD player. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 11am on Monday, Police attended a reported burglary at a St. Anne's Road, Southampton residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that some time between January 10 and March 21, 2007 an unknown culprit gained entry into his garage while he was overseas. The culprit stole a red & black Coleman generator. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Escaping Police Custody

The Bermuda Police Service is asking for the public's assistance in locating 20 year old John William O'Connor of St. George's. He escaped from Police custody on Parliament Street in Pembroke at 1:55pm on Sunday, April 1, 2007 as he was being led into the Hamilton Police Station. He was last seen wearing a black shirt with a white shirt and a blue shirt underneath it. He was also handcuffed at the time. Police gave chase and searched the surrounding area; however, O'Connor was unable to be located. Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of John William O'Connor is asked to contact Constable Richard Saints or Detective Constable Patricia Adams at the St. George's Criminal Investigation Unit on 297-1122.
