Around 4:45pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Knapton Hill in Smiths parish near the junction with Spanish Crescent. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling west on Knapton Hill when the rider, a 26 year old man, lost control attempting to negotiate a left hand bend. As a result the rider and cycle slid into the eastbound lane. At that time a bus was traveling east on Knapton Hill, but the bus driver took evasive action in an attempt to avoid a collision; however, the rider and cycle still made contact with the front of the bus. The 26 year old man sustained abrasions to his body and a possible broken right leg. The driver of the bus was not injured and there were no reports of injuries to passengers who may have been on the bus at the time. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 4:30pm on Tuesday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Warwick near the junction with Ten Pin Crescent involving two cars and a motocross cycle. It appears that one car was traveling west on Middle Road when the driver, a 59 year old Warwick woman, attempted to make a right turn into Haywards Supermarket. At that time the motocross cycle collided with the rear of the westbound car before sliding across the road and colliding with the front of the eastbound car. The driver of the eastbound car, a 71 year old Sandys parish man, was not injured. The driver of the westbound car was also not injured. The rider of the cycle, an 18 year old Warwick man, sustained a foot injury and was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The motocross cycle involved in this collision is believed to be stolen and was extensively damaged. The westbound car received moderate rear end damage while the eastbound car received relatively minor front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing.

At 10:50am on Tuesday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Paget, near the junction with Friths Farm Road. It appears that a silver/grey jeep was traveling west on Middle Road when the driver, a 58 year old Paget woman lost control and collided with a wall twice, causing the vehicle to overturn. The jeep was extensively damaged as a result. The Paget woman sustained a laceration to her right arm and abrasions to her hands. She was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment and subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
