Around 3:30am on Saturday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Middle Road and Stadium Lane in Warwick involving a black Toyota Yaris and a white Toyota van. It appears that the car was traveling east on Middle Road when a collision occurred with the van, as it exited the bus lay by on the northern side of the road and attempted to turn into Stadium Lane. As a result the car spun and rolled over several times, before coming to a rest on its roof approximately 80 yards away. Traffic was diverted away from the scene for approximately an hour. The driver of the van, a 53 year old Southampton man, was not injured. The driver of the car, a 23 year old Pembroke man, was not injured. The car’s passengers, two 22 year old women from Pembroke, sustained bruised ribs and a small cut to the right arm respectively. They were taken to KEMH via ambulance, treated and released. The car was extensively damaged while the van received moderate damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 9:25pm on Friday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Pembroke near the junction with Band Room Lane, involving an Opel Station Wagon and a Honda motorcycle. It appears that the car was emerging from a private driveway, turning to travel east on North Shore Road when a collision occurred with the motorcycle, which was traveling west on North Shore Road. The rider of the cycle, a 32 year old Southampton man, sustained facial injuries and was taken to KEMH via ambulance. He was treated and subsequently released. The driver of the car, a 38 year old woman, was not injured. The motorcycle was extensively damaged while the car received moderate damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to contact PC Kyle Wheatley on 295-0011. 

Burglary

Around 9:30pm on Friday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Bourne Drive, St. George’s residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime on Thursday, an unknown culprit had gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a black IBM laptop computer, a quantity of jewelry, a silver Canon digital camera and a quantity of DVDs. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
