Medical Emergency

Around 7:35pm on Monday, Police received a report of a medical emergency. It appears that around 6pm a 28 year old St. George's man was teaching his 3 year old son how to ride a motorized child's cycle on a field in the area of Westcott Road in St. George's when the child lost control of the cycle and collided with a wall. The 3 year old St. George's boy was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment of serious head injuries. He is currently in the Intensive Care Unit in critical condition. Police impounded the cycle involved. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

At 6:35 this morning, Police attended a reported burglary at a Second Avenue, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainants who stated that sometime between 1am and 4am on Tuesday, an unknown culprit gained entry into their home. The culprit stole two wallets containing personal items. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 5 this morning, Police attended a reported burglary at a Victoria Street, Pembroke business. On arrival officers spoke with the manager of the restaurant who stated that sometime between 5pm on Monday and 5am on Tuesday, an unknown culprit gained entry into the premises. The culprit stole a quantity of cigarettes. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 7:40pm on Monday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Twin Lane Place, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 8:30am and 6:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her apartment while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
