Around 8:35pm on Sunday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish near the junction with Red Kiln Road involving a car and a motorcycle. It appears that the motorcycle was traveling east on North Shore Road and the car was traveling in the opposite direction when the car attempted to turn on to Red Kiln Road and the vehicles collided. The rider of the cycle, a 23 year old Hamilton parish man, sustained abrasions to his knees, a laceration to his head as well as pain to his chest. He was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The driver of the car, a 74 year old Hamilton parish man, was not injured. The motorcycle was extensively damaged while the car received rear end damage to its left side. Traffic was also diverted away from the scene for approximately half an hour. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 3 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 7 reported burglaries. There were also 6 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 8 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 7 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
