Around 11:15am on Sunday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Southampton near the junction with Church Road. It appears that the rider of the rental cycle, a 34 year old New Jersey woman, lost control attempting to negotiate a right hand bend and collided with an embankment. The female visitor sustained a broken jaw and was taken to KEMH via ambulance for treatment. The cycle received minor damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 3:40am on Saturday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on North Shore Road in Hamilton parish, near the junction with Radnor Road involving an auxiliary cycle and a motorcycle. It appears that the auxiliary cycle was traveling west on North Shore Road and the motorcycle was traveling in the opposite direction when the rider of the motorcycle, a 35 year old St. George’s man, lost control and the vehicles collided. The St. George’s man sustained a cut to his right leg and a cut to his face. The rider of the auxiliary cycle, a 17 year old Pembroke woman, sustained facial injuries. Both riders were taken to KEMH for treatment of their injuries. The auxiliary cycle received front end damage while the motorcycle was extensively damaged. The rider of the motorcycle was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Weekend Activity

Over the weekend there were 3 people arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and 9 reported burglaries. There were also 9 reported damage only road traffic collisions, 12 reported road traffic collisions resulting in injury and 5 vehicles reported taken without their owners’ consent.
