Promotion to Assistant Commissioner of Police

The Commissioner of Police after consultation with the Public Service Commission is pleased to announce that Superintendent Mike A. Jackman has been promoted to Assistant Commissioner of Police – Community Policing Services with effect from today, Friday October 31st 2008.

Burglary

Around 1pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Store Hill, Smith’s parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 9am and 12 noon that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of cash. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 9:50am on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at Tree Tops 2 nursery school in Southampton. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 6pm on Wednesday and 9am on Thursday, an unknown culprit gained entry into the premises. The culprit stole a quantity of paper towel, trash bags, toilet paper and cleaning supplies. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
