Robbery

Around 4:20pm on Saturday, Police attended a reported robbery at a King Street, Pembroke business. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, a 56 year old Pembroke man, who stated that earlier that day he was working in the store when two unknown men entered and demanded money. The suspects then proceeded to assault the Pembroke man, punching him about the head. The victim managed to grab a pair of scissors and as a result, the assailants made good their escape on foot towards Curving Avenue empty handed. The victim sustained a wound near his left eye. The suspects are described as two black men approximately 5’11” tall, wearing white T-shirts and jeans. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Police are appealing for any witnesses to this incident or anyone with any information to contact the Hamilton Criminal Investigation Unit on 295-0011.
