Injury RTC

Around 6pm on Wednesday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury at the junction of Montpelier Road and Happy Valley Road in Devonshire involving a car and two auxiliary cycles. It appears that both auxiliary cycles were traveling north on Montpelier Road when both cycles attempted to overtake a car which had stopped to let another car out of Happy Valley Road . As a result, both cycles collided with the car exiting Happy Valley Road. The rider of one auxiliary cycle, a 16 year old young man from Devonshire, sustained abrasions to his left hand and complained of back pain while the rider of the other auxiliary cycle, a 16 year old young man from St. George’s, sustained abrasions to his arms and legs. The driver of the car, a 47 year old Southampton man, was not injured. The car received extensive front end damage while the auxiliary cycles were also extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Burglary

At 7:40pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Harrington Sound Road, Smith’s parish residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 8:45am on Tuesday and 7:30pm on Wednesday, an unknown culprit gained entry into the home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of cash and jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 6:40pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Spice Hill Road, Warwick residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 8:15am on Friday and 3pm on Wednesday an unknown culprit gained entry into his home and stole a quantity of cash, jewelry and personal items. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 5:45pm on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Leamington Lane, Hamilton parish residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 12:30pm and 5:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a silver Phillips 55” flat screen TV. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

At 10:40am on Wednesday, Police received a report of a burglary at a South Road, Hamilton parish residence. The complainant stated that sometime during the day on Tuesday, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home and stole a Toshiba 19” combination TV/DVD set. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

All incidents are under investigation.
