Police Shot at in Middle Town

A few minutes before 3 this morning Police attempted to stop a male on a motorcycle. The rider failed to stop and drove into Middle Town and abandoned his cycle. Officers gave chase and the suspect then pulled out what is believed to be a firearm and shot at the Policemen. No one was injured and the suspect made good his escape.

Officers from the Serious Crime Unit have commenced an investigation into this incident under the direction of Detective Inspector Steven Lightbourne and Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with any information to contact Police on 299-4315 or the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 1-800-623-8477.
