Burglary

At 8:30pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported burglary at a Harrington Sound Road, Smith’s parish residence. On arrival officers spoke with the complainant who stated that sometime between 8am and 7:50pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into her home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a quantity of jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 8:30am on Thursday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Sandy’s parish guest property. The complainant, who is a visitor to the island, stated that sometime between 6:30pm and 9pm on Wednesday an unknown culprit gained entry into his room while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a purple backpack containing a quantity of cash and personal items. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Injury RTC

Around 8:20pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported road traffic collision resulting in injury on Middle Road in Warwick near the Warwick Bowling Alley involving a mini bus and an auxiliary cycle. It appears that both the mini bus and the auxiliary cycle were traveling west on Middle Road, with the mini bus in front of the cycle. The mini bus attempted to turn into the bowling alley parking area and the cycle attempted to overtake, resulting in the vehicles colliding. The rider of the cycle, a 37 year old man, sustained a shoulder injury. He was taken to KEMH for treatment and later released. The driver of the mini bus, a 57 year old Southampton man, was not injured. The auxiliary cycle received extensive front end damage while the mini bus received moderate front end damage.
