Robbery

At 8:30pm on Thursday, Police attended a reported robbery outside a Flat Rock Lane, Pembroke residence. On arrival officers spoke with the victim, an 83 year old Pembroke man. The Pembroke resident stated that earlier that day he drove his car into his garage, got out of the vehicle and exited the garage. As the 83 year old man closed the garage door, he was approached from behind by an unknown man. The assailant grabbed hold of the victim and took a card holder from the Pembroke man’s back pocket before making good his escape on a motorcycle. The card holder contained the victim’s driver’s license and various credit cards. The 83 year old Pembroke man was not injured and declined any medical attention. The suspect is described as a brown skinned male, approximately 5’8” tall wearing a dark coloured nylon jacket and a black ‘Nolan’ helmet with a dark coloured visor. He was said to be riding a light coloured motorcycle. Inquiries into this incident are underway. Impaired Driving

Around 5:30pm on Thursday, Police were on mobile patrol in a marked Police vehicle traveling along South Road in Paget near the Botanical Gardens when they observed a male riding a motorcycle in an erratic manner. The officers caused the vehicle to stop and spoke with the rider, a 60 year old Warwick man. The Warwick man appeared to be under the influence and was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. He was then taken to Hamilton Police Station and detained after failing the alco-analyser test.

Burglary

At 2:45pm on Thursday, Police received a report of a burglary at a Scott’s Hill Road, Sandy’s parish residence. The complainant stated that sometime between 7am and 2:30pm that day, an unknown culprit gained entry into his home while it was unoccupied. The culprit stole a black 32” Sharp flat screen TV and a DVD player as well as a quantity of cash and jewelry. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

All incidents are under investigation.
