Injury RTC/Impaired Driving

Around 11:10pm on Saturday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Orange Valley Road in Devonshire near the junction with Jubilee Road. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling north on Orange Valley Road when the rider, a 31 year old Devonshire man, lost control and collided with a wooden railing. The Devonshire man sustained cuts and abrasions to his right hip and face. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The cycle was extensively damaged. Inquiries into this incident are underway.

Around 12:55am on Saturday, Police attended a reported single vehicle road traffic collision resulting in injury on Pitts Bay Road in Pembroke. It appears that a motorcycle was traveling west on Pitts Bay Road when the rider, a 39 year old Southampton man, lost control in the area of Barr’s Bay Park and fell to the ground. The Southampton man sustained abrasions to his face and hands. He was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The cycle received minor front end damage. Inquiries into this incident are underway.
