Update: Bodies Discovered At Abbot’s Cliff

A detailed autopsy examination is being performed under the direction of Dr. Valerie Rao. An additional forensic expert is expected to arrive in Bermuda today and he will be assisting the investigative team this weekend. The crime scene at Abbot’s Cliff is being retained pending the additional forensic work that is being done. As more information becomes available, the Bermuda Police Service will continue to keep the media up to date.


Arrests

At 11:30 this morning, Police attended Rodriguez Trucking and Excavation Ltd. on Marsh Lane in Devonshire to assist representatives from the Ministry of the Environment in serving court orders. Immediately after the court orders were served by Ministry representatives, three employees of Rodriguez Trucking and Excavation Ltd. drove construction machines into driveways, blocking access to the premises. Despite warnings from the Police officers to move the heavy equipment, the three men refused to move the machines. As a result, a 41 year old St. George’s man was arrested for obstruction, a 33 year old Paget man was arrested for obstruction and threatening words and a 20 year old Southampton man was arrested for obstruction. The men are expected to appear before the courts in due course.
