The Minister of Works and Engineering and Housing wishes to inform motorists of the temporary closure of the lane heading out of the City of Hamilton on Spurling Hill, Pembroke on Sunday, February 26, 2006 between 7am and 6pm. The closure is necessary in order to facilitate the resurfacing of Crow Lane.

  • Traffic will be diverted along King Street on to Front Street.
  • In the event of adverse weather or mechanical breakdown the closure will take place on Sunday, March 5, 2006.

The Ministry would like to encourage the full cooperation of the motoring public and apologizes for any inconvenience that this closure may cause.

The Ministry of Works and Engineering and Housing also wishes to inform motorists of the temporary closure of Middle Road, Devonshire between Montpelier Road and Orange Valley Road on a daily basis for about 2 hours each morning between 10am and 12 noon for all vehicles except emergency vehicles and buses commencing Monday, February 27, 2006 for a period of about 5 weeks. This closure is necessary to facilitate the laying of essential utility services.

  • Westbound traffic will be diverted along Tee Street or Orange Valley Road. Eastbound traffic will be diverted along Montpelier Road or Shelton Road.
  • Throughout the duration of these works, traffic on Middle Road in this location will be restricted to a single lane running under traffic light control, so motorists are encouraged to seek alternative routes into and out of the City of Hamilton.
