Update: Female Rider Injured in 3 Vehicle Collision Treated & Discharged

A 49 year old Sandys parish woman motorcyclist has been treated and discharged from hospital after being injured in a collision involving two other cars.

The incident occurred along South Road in Devonshire near Devon Spring Road around 4pm Friday, January 10th.

One of the car drivers involved, said to be a 93 year old Hamilton parish man, was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for medical assessment while the other car driver, said to be a 31 year old Hamilton parish man, was apparently unhurt. All three vehicles were damaged.

14 Year Old Destiny Winters Leaves Care Facility Without Permission Again [Located]

The Bermuda Police Service is once again seeking the assistance of the public in locating 14 year old Destiny Winters.

The teen apparently left her designated Government Care Facility without permission Friday evening (January 10th).

She is described as brown complexioned, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, weighing around 130 pounds with her hair now dyed black, short and curly.

Destiny was last seen wearing a black rain jacket, shorts as well as black Nike sneakers.

She is known to frequent locations in Pembroke including Fentons Drive, Parsons Road, St. Augustine Hill, Middletown, One Way Deepdale and The Glebe Road.

So far efforts by police officers to locate her have been unsuccessful.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of 14 year old Destiny Winters is asked to call police on 295-0011 or her designated Government Care Facility on 292-3699.

Update: Wednesday, January 22nd - 14 year old Destiny Winters has been located and returned to the care of the Department of Child and Family Services.

Male Rider in Hospital After Reported Single Vehicle Motorcycle Crash

Around 4:30am Saturday, January 11th police officers on mobile patrol were flagged down by a motorist at the junction of Middle Road and South Road in Southampton after she saw a motorcycle in the nearby bus layby on the ground with its front lights on.

It appears that the rider, said to be a 40 year old Sandys parish man, was traveling west along Middle Road when he struck a wooden barrier near Barnes Corner and was thrown into the surrounding bushes.

Officers assisted the rider out of the bushes and he was then transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of facial injuries.

At last check he had been admitted and was continuing to receive medical care.

Female Pedestrian Injured by Male Motorcyclist: Rider Arrested

Around 11pm Saturday, January 11th a collision occurred involving a motorcyclist and a pedestrian on Middle Road in Warwick near the junction with Sleepy Hollow Lane.

It appears that the motorcyclist, said to be a 46 year old Southampton man, was traveling west on Middle Road and the pedestrian, said to be a 44 year old Warwick woman, was walking in the same direction at the time.

Apparently the rider was not hurt and the female pedestrian was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of non-life threatening leg and facial injuries.

The 46 year old man was then arrested on suspicion of impaired driving and later released on police bail pending further inquiries.
