Two Trucks Collide in Flatts, One Person Injured [Updated]

Around 9:20am today (May 31st) police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported collision involving two trucks on North Shore Road in Smith’s parish.

It appears that the vehicles collided in the St. James Court area of Flatts.

Apparently one man sustained a leg injury and was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

An update on his medical condition is anticipated in due course.

Traffic diversions were in effect for approximately two hours while the scene was processed.

Update: At last check, the 33 year old man injured in this morning’s collision involving two trucks on North Shore Road in Smith’s parish, was listed in stable condition in the hospital.

Update: Monday, June 3rd - At last check this morning (June 3rd), the 33 year old man injured in a collision involving two trucks around 9:20am Friday, May 31st on North Shore Road in Smith’s parish, near St. James Court, remained in stable condition in the hospital.

It now appears that the trucks were being driven in opposite directions along North Shore Road at the time.

The 33 year old man is understood to have been a passenger in one of the trucks and apparently sustained leg as well as shoulder injuries.
