The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 39 year old Ionel Bejan and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Mr. Bejan, said to be a Romanian guest worker, was seriously injured around 3:45am Sunday‎, November 5th when the motorcycle he was riding struck a shipping container on Church Street in the City of Hamilton.

He was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ‎ambulance but sadly, later pronounced dead.

The motorcycle involved has been impounded and a Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to assist the deceased’s family at this difficult time.

The investigation into this fatal crash, the 13th of 2017, continues and any witnesses that have not yet come forward are urged to contact the Roads Policing Unit on 247-1788.
