Sudden Death of 69 Year Old Man in Pembroke [Updated]

Around 12:40pm today (April 30th) police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a report of an unresponsive man in a car at a Hidden Lane, Pembroke property.

The 69 year old man was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance but later pronounced dead.

No further information regarding the deceased will be released at this time, pending next of kin notification.

Update: Friday, May 3rd - The Bermuda Police Service can now confirm the death of 69 year old David Aitken and extends sincere condolences to his family and friends.

Mr. Aitken was found in an unresponsive state inside a car around 12:40pm Tuesday, April 30th at a Hidden Lane, Pembroke property by a family member.

He was rushed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance but sadly, later pronounced dead.

A Family Liaison Officer has been assigned to assist the deceased’s family at this difficult time.

Foul play is not suspected and a cause of death is being examined.
