Seven Impaired Motorists Arrested: November 22nd Until November 25th

A total of seven motorists were arrested for impaired driving from Thursday, November 22nd until Sunday, November 25th.

All seven were arrested during road sobriety checkpoints conducted from Friday night (November 23rd) until early Saturday morning (November 24th), with one of the seven apprehended after a pursuit.

There are no road sobriety checkpoints scheduled for this weekend.

However, members of the public are urged not to drive or ride under the influence as police officers conducting their regular patrols will be on the lookout for any offences, including impaired driving.

Taxi Driver Hurt in Collision With Car Saturday Treated & Discharged

A check with the hospital this morning (November 26th) confirmed that the 58 year old male taxi driver hurt when the taxi he was driving was in collision with a car around 6:50pm Saturday, November 24th at the north round-a-bout – intersection of Crow Lane (Pembroke), Berry Hill Road and The Lane (Paget) – had been treated and discharged.

88 Year Old Woman Involved in 3 Car Crash Remains Stable in ICU

At last check this morning (November 26th) the 88 year old woman hospitalised after a three vehicle collision on Middle Road in Warwick near the junction with Riddell’s Bay Road around 9am Tuesday, November 20th remained in stable condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
