Road Sobriety Checkpoints in Effect This Weekend

The Bermuda Police Service (BPS) would like to advise the public that the next series of road sobriety checkpoints (as specified in the Official Gazette Notice Friday, September 28th) will be conducted this weekend.

The checkpoints will be in effect in Devonshire and Paget parishes on Friday, October 5th, Saturday, October 6th and Sunday, October 7th.

This follows the inaugural deployment of road sobriety checkpoints, which took place September 21st, 22nd and 23rd – also in Devonshire and Paget.

Reminder: Friswells Road Community Awareness Meeting Tomorrow

The Bermuda Police Service Central Community Action Team will host a community awareness meeting for residents of Friswells Road tomorrow, Tuesday, October 2nd from 6pm until 7pm at the National Stadium Pavilion in Devonshire.

Topics to be discussed include revitalising the Neighbourhood Watch, crime trends in the neighbourhood as well as community awareness and responsibility.
