Road sobriety checkpoints Friday night into early Saturday morning ended with 4 impaired drivers arrested - 3 failed the alco-analyser test and 1 refused to take it. Another 3 people were arrested on warrants.

Road sobriety checkpoints Saturday night into early Sunday morning ended with 0 impaired drivers detected. However, one person was arrested for impaired driving outside of a checkpoint after an off duty police officer called to report an erratic driver. That driver failed the alco-analyser test.

Road sobriety checkpoints will continue tonight (Sunday, October 14th) in Paget, Pembroke and Devonshire.

Members of the public are urged not to drive under the influence.
