Rider Injured in Reported Single Vehicle Motorcycle Crash [Updated]

Around 1:45am Sunday, March 25th police and first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle motorcycle crash at the junction of North Shore Road and Barkers Hill in Devonshire.

It appears that the motorcyclist involved, believed to be a 23 year old Devonshire man, was traveling in the westbound lane of North Shore Road when he struck the round-a-bout.

The injured rider was transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment of a suspected head injury and initially admitted to the Intensive Care Unit.

An update on his condition will be provided in due course.

The scene was processed by the relevant police personnel and the damaged motorcycle was impounded pending further inquiries.

Update: Monday, March 26th - At last check this morning (March 26th) the 23 year old Devonshire man injured in a reported single vehicle motorcycle crash at the junction of North Shore Road and Barkers Hill in Devonshire around 1:45am Sunday, March 25th was recovering in stable condition on a general ward after initially being admitted to the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.
