Reported Stabbing in Sandys Parish: One Man Injured [Updated]

Around 5:15pm Sunday, October 6th police received a report of a stabbing.

Details remain limited at this time.

However, early information indicates that an altercation took place between several men in the Cricket Lane, Sandys parish area – in the vicinity of Somerset Cricket Club.

Apparently one of the men involved in the altercation was stabbed and transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.

His injury is not believed to be life threatening at this time.

The scene has been cordoned off and is currently being processed.

Update: The individual stabbed in this incident is understood to be a 17 year old male. It now appears that he was transported from the scene by private car to Port Royal Fire Station and then transported from Port Royal Fire Station via ambulance to hospital. He apparently sustained two stab wounds which are not believed to be life threatening. The investigation continues.
