Reported Single Vehicle Damage Only Van Crash in Pembroke

Around 11pm Monday, April 30th police and fellow first responders were dispatched to a reported single vehicle damage only van crash on St. John’s Road in Pembroke.

Initial information suggests that the vehicle involved was being driven along St. John’s Road when it struck a wall between Pitts Bay Road and Cox’s Hill Road, ending up on its side.

Apparently both the wall and van were damaged, but there were no reported injuries.

Traffic was temporarily diverted away from the area.

Truck Driver Discharged From Hospital After Hamilton Parish Crash

At last check this morning (May 1st) the driver of a Works & Engineering industrial waste truck that crashed into the wall of a private residence on Harrington Sound Road in the area of Quarry Road, Hamilton parish around 9:45am Monday, April 30th – believed to be a 59 year old Sandys parish man – had been medically assessed at the hospital and later discharged.

Both the truck and wall were damaged. The damaged truck was subsequently removed from the property.
